GeoFusion™ Laterolog Resistivity and Imaging LWD Tool

The GeoFusion tool offers precise well placement and characterization of the wellbore environment even at extremely high mud salinity. Available in two sizes (4.75” and 6.75”), the GeoFusion tool is a latest generation imaging and Laterolog resistivity LWD tool incorporated into a single collar. The operator can characterize the formation, identify dips, fractures and formation layers, optimize the mud weight, reduce the risk of circulation loss and identify the casing point. The GeoFusion tool can be combined with other Oliden tools in a modular BHA to eliminate the necessity for additional services, save rig time and reduce drilling costs.

Azimuthal Gamma Ray and Ultrasonic imaging LWD Tool. The TerraFusion tool offers the best insights for geosteering, borehole quality and geological structures as well as revealing fracture networks in all mud types. Available in two sizes (4.75” and 6.75”), the TerraFusion is a latest generation Azimuthal Gamma Ray and Ultrasonic imaging LWD tool incorporated into a single collar. Designed for both oil-base and water-base muds it provides a comprehensive reservoir description through structural analysis, sedimentology and sequence stratigraphy.

Applications and benefits:

The TerraFusion generates multiple sourceless borehole images that are derived from the ultrasonic measurements in all mud types. The integration of the annular pressure sensor (APWD) with ultrasonic imaging provides insights that permit advanced geomechanical analysis. The tool is the shortest in its category, making the BHA less sensitive to borehole conditions and the measurements closer to the bit.
