TAQA Group CEO

Khalid M. Nouh

Mr. Nouh was appointed Chief Executive Officer of TAQA in November 2019, bringing with him over 30 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arabian Drilling Company (ADC) and the Arabian Geophysical & Surveying Company (ARGAS).

Mr. Nouh was appointed Chief Executive Officer of TAQA in November 2019, bringing with him over 30 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arabian Drilling Company (ADC) and the Arabian Geophysical & Surveying Company (ARGAS).

In his capacity as TAQA CEO, Mr. Nouh has focused on making a clear transition to a fully aligned functioning operating company focused on flawless execution, group synergies and delivering the highest value to TAQA customers. Under his leadership, TAQA launched its 2021 Strategy that positions TAQA as leading the way in offering differentiated, competitive products and services to Energy Companies in the MENA region, maintaining continuous value creation.

Prior to joining TAQA, Mr. Nouh held several leadership positions with international companies headquartered in Dubai, UAE, where he was the Chief Technology Officer of the international subsidiary of Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC). He also served as Executive Officer and President of Baker Hughes Inc for the Middle East and Asia Pacific region from 2008 until 2017. Additionally, before Mr. Nouh joined Baker Hughes Inc, he spent 19 years with Schlumberger in several technical, product development and leadership positions based out of Dhahran, KSA, Dubai, UAE, Paris, France, and Houston Texas. Mr. Nouh began his career in 1989 with Saudi Aramco’s Manufacturing, Supply and Transportation business line before moving to Schlumberger in 1994.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from King Saud University and has completed several advanced courses in Energy Economics, Investment Banking, Finance and Leadership over his career. He is a lifelong member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and is an active Board Member of its Saudi Arabian chapter.

Samir Seth
Group CFO

Mr. Seth serves as Group CFO; he joined TAQA in August 2019 and brings with him over 27 years of experience in the Oilfield Services industry. In his current role, Mr. Seth plays a central role in the continued growth of TAQA. He is responsible for the management of the Company’s present and future financial positions, building a strong and capable financial team to support the Company’s business and operations. Prior to joining TAQA, Mr. Seth held several leadership positions with Schlumberger, where he had extensive geographical operating exposure and worked as the Global financial lead for the Pressure Pumping product line. In 2018, during the midst of the of the financial crisis, he was the Treasurer for the Western Hemisphere. In this role, he executed several structured financial deals, back stop credit facilities, capital market activities, and capital allocation decisions. He joined Baker Hughes in 2012 as VP of Finance for the Middle East and Asia Pacific Region. In 2016 he was appointment as VP of Corporate Development, where he played a critical role in the mergers & acquisitions activities of the company and the strategic incubation of smaller business units. He is a Chartered Accountant, holds a Bachelor’s in Business Studies from University of Kolkata and has attended Leadership Development Program conducted by G.A.P. International, and Advanced Finance Management Courses at IMD and Wharton.

Dr. Mario Ruscev
Executive Vice President - Products & Technology

Dr Mario Ruscev is a Nuclear Physicist by degree holding a PhD from Yale University and from Universite Pierre et Marie Curie. Mario spent 23 years with Schlumberger in various responsibilities in the R&D and operations. He has been the President of Western-Geco “Seismic”, Well-Testing, Water & Gas services, and Wireline Divisions within Schlumberger. After leaving SLB in 2006, Mario was appointed as CEO of FormFactor, a Silicon Valley provider of unique nanotech connectors for the semiconductor industry, then he moved to Moscow Russia as CEO of IGSS (GeoTech), a major Russian Seismic acquisition and processing company operating in Russia and Eastern Europe. In 2013, Mario joined Baker Hughes Incorporation as Executive Officer, Vice President, and CTO when he led the development of a very strong technology culture and portfolio. During the Halliburton attempt to acquire Baker Hughes, Mario joined Weatherford International as an Executive Officer and EVP of Global Products and Services. During his career, Dr Ruscev had the opportunity to evolve in many environments where Technology and Execution were differentiators. Besides having successfully managed many businesses turn overs, he led his different teams to successfully introduced systems. Mario was for many years a Board member of the Global Carbon Capture & Sequestration. He is currently a non-Executive director (board member) on CGG, he is also helping a start up in the IoT application to the Oil Field that he had set up earlier and working with the TAQA group of Saudi Arabia in many of their new endeavor.

Adel Al-Ghadhban
Executive Vice President - Ventures & Chief Investment Officer

Mr. Al-Ghadhban serves as Executive Vice President – Ventures & Chief Investment Officer, bringing with him over 20 years of experience in portfolio management and finance across oil & gas and manufacturing. In his current role, Mr. Al-Ghadhban is responsible to develop and oversee the group Legal, Risk, and Compliance. He is also responsible for guiding TAQA’s group Risk and Compliance team in identifying, assessing, monitoring, and advising on controlling and preventing risks according to the Enterprise Risk Management Frameworks in place for the Company’s present and future business activities. He is also responsible for the development and implementation of TAQA’s strategy toward its invested companies (joint Venture). As a member of the executive management, Mr. Al Ghadban plays a major role in the growth of the invested companies and the management of partners relationship. Mr. Al-Ghadhban also serves as a Member of the Board of Arabian Geophysical and Surveying Company (ARGAS), TAQA Drilling Solutions, Inc. Canada, Cougar Drilling Solutions Global, Inc. (Barbados), and is the Chairman of the Board of ALAR and the Vice Chairman of JESCO. Mr. Al-Ghadhban joined TAQA in 2006 and has held several senior positions within the Company since, including General Manager for Finance and Administration and CEO of Jubail Energy Services Company (JESCO). Prior to joining TAQA, Mr. Al-Ghadhban spent six years in Saudi Aramco’s Treasury Department and four as the CFO in health sector. Mr. Al-Ghadhban holds a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Denver, US and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Washington State University, US

Amir Nessim
Executive Vice President Well Solutions (TWS)

Mr. Nessim is appointed to TAQA in Jan 2023 as Executive Vice President of Well Solutions. He will lead TAQA Well Solutions across the Middle East, Africa, Turkey and Asia, driving growth across all geographies and service lines to realize our full potential. Mr Nessim brings a rich and varied expertise to the role through three decades of international executive experience in diverse senior positions at both public and private companies.

Across his 30-year career, Mr Nessim has held operations, functional and leadership positions spanning Geographies across India, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Sub-Sahara Africa, France and USA.

Prior to joining TAQA, Mr Nessim was co-founder and chairman of Aradi Ventures; a technology incubator utilising AI & IoT in Agricultural technology to address food security, Group CEO of TBS Holding an F&B conglomerate and leadership roles in the energy industry with Schlumberger Limited.

Mr. Nessim started his career with Schlumberger in 1992 as a Wireline field engineer and served as VP MENA Strategy, global President of Well Services, global president of Well Testing & Subsea, global Vice President of HSE, Vice President of Angola, Sub Sahara and East Africa as well as management roles in HR, marketing and product development.

He serves as a Global Strategy advisor for Tuyo Ventures an incubator specializing in solving societal issues through technological solutions and is an alumnus of the National Preparedness Leadership Initiative of the Harvard Kennedy school of Leadership.

Mr. Nessim holds a B.Sc. in Electronic Engineering from Ain Shams University.

Moutaz Mashhour
Executive Vice President – Shared Services

Mr. Moutaz Mashhour joined TAQA as Executive Vice President of Shared Services in December 2020, bringing with him over 30 years of experience in Human Resources and Services. He has previously led the development of strategic and transformational programs at several Saudi Aramco megaprojects, subsidiaries, and joint ventures. 

In his current role, Mr. Mashhour is responsible for establishing the Shared Services function at TAQA and its group companies, and consolidating common services used by the organization and its varied business functions under a single umbrella, with the overall objective of improving service and service delivery and contributing to the overall growth and evolution of the Company. 

Prior to joining TAQA, Mr. Mashhour was seconded from 2016 to 2020 to Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH), a joint venture with Johns Hopkins Medicine, where he was responsible for managing the complex merger and transition of 3,000 healthcare employees from Aramco to JHAH. In addition, he had responsibility for developing and executing plans to attract, hire, develop, and retain the best healthcare talent for the hospital. 

Previously, Mr. Mashhour served as Vice President of Industrial Relations (IR) and Secretary of the Compensation Committee at Yanbu Aramco Sinopec Refining Company (YASREF) from 2013 through 2016. During his time with YASREF, he oversaw the formation of its Industrial Relations operations, including Human Resources, Supply Chain Safety and Industrial Security, Government Affairs, Public Relations, and Support Services for the mega venture project. Additionally, Mr. Mashhour served as Head of IR for Aramco Services Company (ASC) in the United States of America from 2010 to 2013, and as Interim Vice President of Human Resources at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) from 2007 through 2008. 

Mr. Mashhour holds a Bachelors in Industrial Management and a Masters in Business Administration from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. He has also undertaken a number of leadership and executive development programs from the Columbia, Rice and Georgetown Universities in the US, as well as having completed the University of Minnesotas HR Certification program. 

Moutaz Mashhour
Executive Vice President - Corporate Services

Mr. Moutaz Mashhour joined TAQA as Executive Vice President of Shared Services in December 2020, bringing with him over 30 years of experience in Human Resources and Services. Meshary Al-Ayed
Group Vice President-Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environment

Mr. Meshary Al-Ayed serves as TAQA Group Vice President of Quality, Health Safety, Security, and Environment (QHSSE), he joined the company in June, 2022. He is an experienced multinational operations and transformation manager with a demonstrated history of working in the Energy Industry in multiple geographies. Besides core competencies in Petroleum Engineering, Operations Planning, and People management, Meshary is an experienced change management professional with experience in organizational change and transformation strategy development and execution.

Mr. Al-Ayed’s career started in field operations with Schlumberger as a field engineer in Saudi Arabia, before moving to New Zealand, Australia and India where he led several high profile projects and field initiatives covering land and offshore environments and high profile deep water operations. Post field, Meshary held several management positions in training and development, field and operations management and sales and marketing. He was director of the Wireline Business unit at the country level in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia before taking the leadership of the Operations Systems Function in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain in a role that spanned all Schlumberger operations and functions covering transformation, process alignment and successful ERP deployment in addition to managing IT and CyberSecurity.

In his current role, Mr. Meshary heads the QHSSE function and drives the development and implementation of TAQA’s QHSSE strategy, leads QHSSE risk management and compliance activities, and also develops strategy to evaluate and mitigate the risk and compliance matters across TAQA and its subsidiaries. Additionally, he is responsible for driving development of QHSSE frameworks, policies, and operational plans across TAQA and its subsidiaries.

Mr. Meshary holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. He also served as Schlumberger’s Ambassador to KFUPM in a role that aimed to foster closer university relations across the educational, entrepreneurial, and student outreach areas between the energy and academic sectors.

Hani Ahmed Qurashi
Chief Internal Auditor

Mr. Hani Ahmed joined TAQA in 2020, bringing with him over 20 years of experience with a focus on internal auditing across a range of industries in the Kingdom and internationally. In his current role, he is responsible for TAQA Group’s Internal Audit function. He has held multiple senior roles most recently as Chief Internal and Risk Officer for Dammam Airport Company (DACO), Group Chief Internal Auditor for United Matbouli Group (UMG), Group Chief Internal Auditor for Magrabi Hospitals and Centers (MHC), and different positions as risk assurance lead in PwC and KPMG covering Saudi and overseas markets. Mr. Hani holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Helwan University, Egypt, and a Modern Accounting Diploma from the American University in Cairo. He has also received multiple certifications including Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) from the Institution of Internal Audit, US; and Certified Risk Analyst (CRA) from the American Academy of Financial Management, US.

Hesham ElGindy
Vice President for Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)

Mr. Hesham ELGindy has joined TAQA as Vice President for Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC).

Mr. ELGindy is a seasoned executive with proven expertise in risk, compliance, corporate governance, and internal audit, with both advisory and corporate experience. He brings more than 26 years of progressive experience across several industries.

Prior to joining TAQA, Mr. ELGindy worked as Chief Audit Executive for SISCO Holding for seven years. During this period, he led significant change at the company and across its subsidiaries. He was based in Jeddah. He began his career in internal audit at KPMG, where he climbed the ladder until he became a Risk Advisory Partner, working across their Middle East offices. He also served on a number of audit committees across the region, acting as either the committee’s chairman or a member.

Mr. ELGindy earned his Bachelor of Arts in Commerce, majoring in accounting, from Cairo University. He holds multiple certifications, including Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and Certified Risk Management Assurance Professional (CRMA). He served as the former president of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA)- Egypt and was the leader of the Risk Management Community of the ALROWAD program (a USAID Program). Mr. ELGindy is a sought-after national and international speaker and trainer.
