The TAQA jar booster utilizes a long stroke, fit for purpose assembly to maximize the impact force of the drilling jar it is run in conjunction with.
The tool achieves this by compressing or extending depending on up firing or down firing motions to increase the pull or push load on the firing mechanism within the jar. This increase in applied force amplifies the impact load on the hammer/anvil section of the jar which in turn applies additional motion to the drill string allowing the stuck point to become free more effectively.
