Team Army
TQ recognises the need for sporting excellence in the armed forces and is committed to ensuring the future success of Army sports. This committment is demonstrated by TQ's status as a Silver Sponsor to Team Army, which is a not for profit organisation that raises funds for Army sports, including disabled sports, and other Service charities.
As a strong supporter of Army Corp level sports, TQ has for a number of years sponsored the Royal Logistics Corp (RLC) Winter Sports. This involvement with the RLC has allowed TQ to develop a successful team sponsorship of 1 Logistic Support Regiment RLC (1LSR), who are the holders of the coverted Princess Marina cup in both the Alpine and Nordic disciplines.
Nottingham Bluecoat School and Technology College - Coast to Coast Bicycle Ride
TQ provide sponsorship to Nottingham Bluecoat School and Technology College to contribute to their annual pupil development fund raiser. The coast to coast bicycle ride takes 4 days, covers 148 miles, involves 10 bikes, 2 oceans, 10 pupils and too many hills to count .... this is the coast to coast ! None of the pupils doing the trip had done much cycling before, well nothing like this anyway, so they had to do a lot of pretty hard training.
“the feeling of accomplishment is amazing. Half way up the big hill we all said we would never do this again .... but right now we would all happily turn round and cycle back again”
Following the successful completion of the Coast to Coast ride the pupils presented two cheques to the value of £1036.46 each. One cheque to The Rainbows Hospice and another to The Lance Armstrong Cancer Research Fund.
